SMS/Text Messaging Program
HomeBott offers an optional SMS text messaging program ("HomeBott Alerts"). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from HomeBott, including but not limited to home maintenance tips, service reminders, promotional offers, and account notifications. Message frequency is approximately 1 message per day. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You may opt back in at any time by replying START or re-subscribing on our website.

Consent: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from HomeBott. Your phone number and opt-in data will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

- Process insurance claim requests and coordinate with insurance providers

- Calculate your Home Health Score and recommend appropriate maintenance plans
- Communicate with you about your service requests, estimates, and account
- Send important notices about the Service, such as updates and security alerts
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Contractors: When you approve an estimate, we share relevant job details (description, photos, address) with matched contractors so they can perform the requested service
- With Insurance Providers: When you file a claim through HomeBott, we share claim documentation with your insurance provider as part of the claims process
- Service Providers: We may use third-party services to help operate our business (email delivery, hosting), and these providers are obligated to protect your information
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation
We never sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Camera and Photo Access
HomeBott requests access to your device's camera and photo library to allow you to:
- Take photos of repair issues for accurate estimates
- Upload photos of renovation spaces for project planning
- Document damage for insurance claims
Photos are only used for the specific service request you submit. We do not access your camera or photos without your explicit action (tapping the photo upload button).
5. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Secure data transmission via HTTPS encryption
- Local storage of profile and health score data on your device
- Limited access to personal data by authorized personnel only
